Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Perhaps Davidson should emphasize recruiting players from NC and Upstate SC. We lose most to ACC schools, but there are some who are not ACC worthy or only get recruited by the lower level ACC schools. Colt Langdon '25 of Millbrook in Raleigh has not committed yet. I've seen him play a few times. k...

Re: Clunie Email re NIL
We're Davidson. Let's be different. Any thoughts in our eclectic and distinguished alumni bartering goods, services, or enrichment opportunities to our young athletes (instead of cash) as NIL inducements: Riding Lessons? Guided Tours? Fishing Junkets? Latin Language Tutoring? Whitewater Excursions?...

Re: Portal
Nice looking gear, ugly prices. I'd be more likely to just buy regular gear and contribute some money to the collective. I bought a Durkin hoodie. I don't know that the price was out of line with at least some stuff at the school store. I've seen a few other folks in his gear, and some of Brock's f...

Re: Portal
Team full of guys who…are looking to jump ship for the P5/6 after a year or two. The number of Davidson players who have done this remains zero. Unless you try to count guys using their extra COVID year after graduating from DC. Didn’t say they have. Saying that’s where we are headed We kept a guy ...

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
This is becoming a thread updating us on other teams' recruiting. Disappointing.

Re: Clunie Email re NIL
I'm reasonably certain our experienced coaching staff has a plan for this. Doubt we will come up with anything on here they haven't thought about.

Re: Clunie Email re NIL
A number of comments here have asserted that our lads deserve to be compensated at the market value for their “work”. I would maintain that this analysis is flawed in that NIL awards players for the use of their Name, etc in commercial advertising. This key difference recognizes that the lads are “...

Re: Welcome Zach Laput!
I haven’t seen anyone on here disparage Laput. What I have tried to argue is (1) Davidson should maintain some academic standards for athletic eligibility; and (2) one of those requirements should be that the student athlete is pursuing a degree. I don’t think (1) is especially controversial, but (...

Re: Portal
Any restriction on transfers is going to be met with successful litigation by players on antitrust grounds. Ironically, the best thing for the schools would be for the players to unionize and enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the NCAA under which they AGREE to some limitations on tra...
