I do think its only a matter of time until we start getting multi-year contracts to try and stop the transfers, or at least including some kind of buyout with returning NIL payments if they leave. You mean like the multi-year contracts that coaches sign? All that does is serve as a speed bump. [See...

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Things I just learned while looking up something else: Dylan Warlick decommitted from Wyoming after Coach Jeff Linder left for an assistant job at Texas Tech. Lindner was replaced at Wyoming by Sundance Wicks who left UWGB after only one season, and is being replaced by Doug Gottleb, a radio talk sh...

Congratulations to Jenna Skibbe
A10 Rookie of the Year in lacrosse. She ended the season 3rd among all NCAA D1 freshmen in goals scored, as well as goals per game. Kella McGrail, Kaylin Joyce, and Brooke Ross joined Skibbe on the All-Rookie team, and two-time All-A10 first teamer Allie Hartnett is a sophomore. The future is bright.

He's also visiting Washington, who just paid $2 million in NIL for a transfer. The picture with this article makes it clear that this is a pond in which Davidson should never swim, and if this becomes the norm, I will stop following D-1 basketball. https://sports.yahoo.com/great-osobor-anno...

Spoke to “Country Joe” West, former MLB umpire. Funny guy. His favorite manager was Dick Williams. Jim Nantz is a super nice guy. Steve Smith is a very humble guy. I used to play pickup football and basketball with Joe West. He had a great arm on the football field. It was a great event. Nantz had ...

Re: Up last: at George Mason
I hate to say this out loud, but it seems that some of our shaky pitching is coming around. We've had solid outings from Perkins, Weber, Champey, Katz, Fix, and Ban recently. It's good to have Cavanaugh back, but he obviously is not back to optimal form yet. We're still missing O'Shaughnessy and Cot...

Champey pitched the last 2 innings, faced 8 batters, allowed 0 runs on 2 hits, 0 walks, and 0 hit batters. His best outing in recent memory, and a good confidence booster.

Seems like he could stock the end of the bench with 5 really good low-major or D-2 players who would jump at the chance to play every now and then for a big-time Power 6 school that will undoubtedly make the NCAA tournament, money be damned. I doubt academics will be a problem, either, so they might...
