Re: Portal

I’m disappointed but not surprised. I think he expected the apparent step down to result in more PT, but for some reason it didn’t.

Re: Up next: Siena

Entirely possible- his name is Zecola. He also used to hunt for 4 leaf clovers during batting practice to sell to guys from NYC who couldn’t easily find their own. That tells you something about field maintenance at Siena and SUNY Binghamton (DIII at the time- home of our New York Summer Collegiate ...

Re: Up next: Siena

I have good memories of a summer league teammate from Siena. People usually put their name or # on the bill of their cap to help keep tabs on it. He put “Not Yours”.

Re: Up next: Siena

Not trying to be picky, but a long home run is not a walk that scored 🤔

Re: Davidson's Best 15 Players

I don’t feel like looking this up. How many conference Players of the Year have we had? I think we’ve had 7 in the 2000s.

Edit- now I can think of 8.

Re: Steph update

Steph passed Robert Parrish for 35th in career points last night. Barkley is next, though it will take a while.

Re: Davidson's Best 15 Players

George “Buddy” Cheek and Hobby Cobb should be mentioned though they played before anybody here was potty trained.

Re: Quadruple stupidity

I bet we’d play Princeton home and away.

If we continue to have trouble scheduling we should play CofC and UNCW home and away. I could list others I’d like to see more than Wright State.

Re: 24-25 Roster

Bruce Elder got a graduate degree from Vandy, as well as his undergraduate degree, after transferring from DC. He had to redshirt his first year there, so it took 5 years total.

Supposedly he would have stayed if we had not been dropped from the SoCon. I’m sure others have more details than I.

Re: Up next: at A&T

When I was coaching HS JV baseball our AD had a deal w some Fagin like character in Greensboro. “Fagin” paid kids for BP home run balls at War Memorial. Our AD bought them from Fagin for much less than new baseballs. So we used South Atlantic League baseballs in HS with no need to rub them up before...

Re: Sinkhole in the level playing field

Indiana State’s HC was the HC at DII Lincoln Memorial when they were in Queen’s conference and both schools spent 5+ years with multiple trips to the final four.

Lincoln Memorial is near the TN / KY state line and has one of the very few private veterinary schools in the country.
