Plenty of coach-speak. Good luck, Luke.

Luke will be the first big off the bench if 6'10" freshman Tony Bradley falls flat on his face or gets caught going to class.

Does anyone have an update on marcel ponitka? Aka the polish pop gun? Press cited Davidson interest- I assume this is a 2017 event?

I can't find anything linking us to him or reporting an offered scholarship and he hasn't mentioned us as a school recruiting him in any articles, but I'm curious if we are still recruiting him. He is currently ranked 48th overall on the ESPN 60 for class of 2018.

Jairus attended a game or two in Belk this past season, but his recruiting has blown up the past 9 months. Getting interest from most of the top 10 programs with UNC, UCLA, and some others moving up on his radar. Given he's a good student and solid kid, I am sure the staff has lots of interest, just a challenging environment when a kid becomes that high profile. By the time he leaves high school, he's probably going be showing up on one and done draft boards for the following year.

Brad Davison has recently visited Stanford, Butler, and Dayton. He has offers from all three programs. I hope the Davidson staff can get him to campus.

Andrew Platek also recently visited Stanford. As those of you who follow this thread closely know, he took a brief, unofficial visit to Davidson a couple of weeks ago.

Walter Whyte visited Yale after his recent unofficial visit to Davidson.

EDIT: Added some info about Walter Whyte.

Andrew Platek's latest blog post on his most recent visits to UNC, us and Stanford. Interesting stuff on all the visits if you want to read the whole thing, but below is what he had to say about Davidson. This personal blog series is pretty cool, especially since it is being written by a bright kid who also happens to be interested in us. The next day was Davidson College on the 14th. This visit was one that was intriguing to me because Davidson was one of the first colleges to reach out to me and where my teammate Kellan Grady is going to school. Coach Bob McKillop could not be there due to USA Basketball but I was lead around by Assistant Coach Matt McKillop, Coach Will Riegel, and Will Thoni. It was a shorter visit than North Carolina, but I got to see their team work out after I toured the campus. The way they conducted their drills was appealing to me, all of their players were working hard and it had a great team atmosphere. Coach McKillop sat me down afterwards in the film room to break down some clips of what he thought I would be doing if I decided to come. It was very informative and you could tell that they had really invested a lot of time into my visit and I was appreciative of that the whole day. Davidson's offense is a thing of beauty, and seeing it broken down and how effective it is was fun to watch. Although shorter, it was great to connect with the coaching staff and visit the beautiful Davidson campus. The basketball was not bad either.

Freshman English would fix that "lead" vs. "led" problem.

No one could possibly misinterpret that comment in a negative way, thankfully.
