About writing negative things about recruits?? I would.

Recruits get worked up about it. Their high school coaches, AAU coaches, and parents get worked up about it. The college coaches who are recruiting them get worked up about it. Those are good enough reasons to avoid doing it.

You should see what other big programs boards say about recruits or current players. I did not say one negative thing about one recruit. I did say I think a fan base should not be over hopeful for a player who has not reciprocated to an offer. Which is fine •plenty of players receive offers and do not care to engage with a team. We should not keep our fingers crossed for everyone. We should care about players who love the school the coaches and are excited about making an impact on the program- I believe we will be a Gonzaga one day. It is happening already. The recruits are getting better and better; a true testament to the education and athletic investment Davidson provides to its student athletes.

I don't spend much time on recruiting threads because I get irritated spending months reading about 75 guys then landing 2 or 3, some of whom weren't on the list of 75.

But I can tell you that the "you should see other boards" argument tends to get treated poorly.

I don't know much about other boards. I believe I could count on the fingers of one hand the times I have ever looked at one. They can do whatever the like, I'm focusing on the "Cats and reading the recruiting thread is part of my koolaid addiction.

Yep. This one is sleek and unique. I like that.

I must look at things different than you. I always assume when a sentence starts with "F em" that it has negative connotations.

Unless we are talking about the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor.

Brad Davison commits to Wisconsin. Been recruited by them for a long time and from the region, it makes sense. Wish him well in the future

Platek article with all the right quotes. The only thing not to love is the potential to push back the decision making to "early fall." I feel like we get hurt a little more than most schools when we lose a recruit- so if we are going to lose, better to lose early.

Having gone to Davidson and having a daughter who attended Indiana, there is no comparison academically, None.

New 2017 offer to guard Jordan Davis: (https://twitter.com/BLUEChip_Miller/sta ... 4428852225)
@BLUEChip_Miller wrote:Dutch Fork High (SC) 2017 guard Jordan Davis (@jordan_davis_0) picked up an offer from Bob McKillop and Davidson, per @teamloadedaau.
Also holds offers from Dayton, La Salle, Miami, Xavier and Butler, among others. Highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_1hv8--dtY
EDIT: Account the writer credits posted earlier today Davis received an offer from Dayton, so he may have potentially misread it. Will know for sure if it gets tweeted out by another source or two.

Also some reported interest in prospects...

I would imagine we would try to sign 4 in 2017 and 4-5 in 2018.
