Davidson played Virginia twice while Walker was at UVa. The first game was at Virginia in January 1974. TJ was there.

The second game was in Charlotte in January '75. T Jay had graduated. Virginia won 58-56 on a last second shot by Dan Bonner. Video of that game is used at Insomnia Clinics.

So, the event, if it happened at all, took place in Charlottesville. Very few Davidson students and no referees witnessed it, apparently.

Maybe a poster flew to the game on an alum's jet from an airport near Mooresville.

Oh it happened. Brickles showed it to me on the game film. Ball goes up, TJ elbows Walker in the gut. Walker’s gum flies out of his mouth. No one saw it in real time, other than TJ and Wally.
