Based on the Louisville recruiting scandal plus some other stories I have heard recently, I cannot imagine that the shoe brand can be that big a factor. Let's get real. I would think that the qualities of the girls in the rooms would mean more than the brand of T-shirt they happen to wear. How long does the shirt stay on anyway?

Much of the influence comes from the AAU coach, who is paid by the shoe company, who can often have a ton of influence on a kid (depending both on how easily influenced the kid is and the type relationship they have with a coach). While not directly related to shoe companies, St. Louis was able to pick up two elite recruits because they hired their AAU coach as an assistant, and for many kids, this relationship can matter more than anything. There are other factors but this is the one I would look at the most with respect to shoe companies, obviously the actual attributes of the colleges (and often things like the girls, academics, style of play or facilities, depending on the kid's priorities) play the biggest roles, while shoe brands can help them hone down their choices.

Help is on the way!
Luke Frampton turned in yet another double-double (30 points, 14 rebounds) and Poca got a solid effort off the bench from Bronson Skeens Thursday night, adding up to a 73-70 victory over bombs-away Sissonville.

***

Brown missed at the other end for Sissonville and Frampton rebounded and was fouled. He hit a pair of free throws with six seconds to go to pretty much ice it.

Poca needed every point and rebound it could muster from Frampton, and also every bit of Skeens’ effort.

That's a big win for Latin over Christian. Christian may have looking past that game to their game Tuesday when a famous alum drops by.

He stars on a very good Providence Day team that won a state championship last year:

His dad has been a HS sports reporter for the Charlotte Observer for years (I believe he's the one who said Brendan McKillop was the best shooter he'd seen in the city):

ESPN says we have offered Jairus Hamilton '18 from Cannon School. Of course every P5 school within 500 miles has also offered him.

On the Clemson site, he mentions that he is looking for a great school, where his earned degree will "mean something". Trey, have we got a fit for you....

Why not get wertz! Academics and opportunity to make great Davidson a top 25 team alongside our other guards. If we can find another small forward or pf with these guards. Look out
