Other scores
Re: Other scores
Often wondered if a senior's mind starts to drift late in the game while on the court for, potentially, the last time in their career. Seems like you would be very vulnerable to the 'yips' on your shots. (see RJ Davis... last night.. 4-20.. 0-9 from three)

I like this Elite Eight field. No team further west than the Mississippi River. 2 of the 1 seeds out already. But the power conferences also like this Elite Eight. 1 Big East, 2 Big 10, 2 SEC, 3 ACC.

For the first time in sixteen years I saw Steph Curry play on the night of a Sweet Sixteen game.

I am a Duke alumnus, and I pull for the Blue Devils when they're not playing Davidson. My daughter is a State alumna who lives in Cary and has NCSU season tickets, and she has indoctrinated our 2 grandsons into the Wolfpack nation. They are going nuts. Her husband is a Purdue alumnus, and he loves his Boilermakers. The next week will be a test of my family's relationships.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

My nephew graduated from State. His wife is on the faculty at Duke. They met in grad school at Carolina.

Re: Other scores
I was debating watching Final 4 games this weekend. I am somewhat limited physically since I had surgery on my hand and still have stiches. So I knew I would be watching the tube, it was just a matter of what i would be watching.
My decision was sealed when I found out the games are on TBS, and since I cut the cord a year ago, no cable. I didn't really care who won and looking at the box scores of the two games yesterday, I didn't miss much. I didn't watch the college football playoff games either, since they were on ESPN. I guess I am just not that interested in semi-pro sports.
I was surprised to hear that DJ Burns played 3 seasons for Winthrop. I went to all 3 of Winthrop's games in the Big South tourney in Charlotte a few seasons ago, Burns' last at Winthrop, and I can't remember him playing. He was conference player of the year. I am getting old.

Hope the hand is healing well, TOK. I also found out late that CBS was not carrying the games, even though several schedules I looked at referenced the over-the-air network broadcast. I didn't mind so much missing the final four this year, but I hate the games they play to try to get consumers to buy cable packages. I mean, they still.run commercials on those channels, so I feel as though they are charging twice for the same product. Disappointing, but not surprising.

Go USC. I don't care who wins the men's tournament as long as Hurley has a bad day.

I was rooting for UConn to beat Alabama. I didn't want to hear Greg Sankey say UConn had taken a bid to the Tournament that rightfully should have gone to the 8th place SEC team or 9th place Big Ten team.

Re: Other scores
I noticed that Purdue doesn’t have player names on the back of their jerseys. That doesn’t seem to have hurt them much.
