Hunter. He played well, and he almost won the game for us.

You know what they say about "almost"

I would give the Colt to the Wildcat crowd. Nice turnout.

Bummer, big win would have really excited the fans to keep coming back to the arener.

No award. It was Adam’s for the taking.

Very small voting sample so far. This often leads to a "nobody" flood of votes.

I'll keep the voting open through tomorrow.

Tough to win in conference when only two players are factors. Better hit the recruiting trail/portal really hard.

Announcers said that the Cat's starting lineup were all averaging double digits, which on the face of it, sounds good. Unfortunately, we get there by having only one or two (different) guys show up for each game: usually Grant and another player. I have to feel that if even one or two more player could contribute, we'd be 3-1 instead of 1-3. Like Hunter's last-second shot in regulation, though, close don't count.

Need more guys who can score off the dribble. Glaring weakness.

Boom! You hit it on the head. We don't have guys that could win a one on one tourney. King could and he was the diference maker.

However, if you had Logan in protecting the rim our defenders could have pressed him harder up top with no worries about King beating you on a layup.

Not trying to politic--well, maybe just a little bit--but Hunter fueled the first of several comebacks, this one at the middle of the first half. His five points on two buckets were an unexpected bonus. One could argue that Hunter did his part, even if the team couldn't ultimately capitalize on his contributions.

To be effective in the McKillop offense, the Wildcats must have lots of open looks from three, which means our guys need to consistently get into the lane so the defense is forced to collapse. Unfortunately, however, that dynamic is glaringly absent so far this season.

Hunter needed to hit his shot off the backboard or draw a foul. His failure to do either disqualifies him from the award.

Was he our best option at that point? All we needed was a free throw to win the game. Can no one get his man in the air and jump into him?
