Re: Up next: Marist

Way too many penalties, little to no pressure on their quarterback. Not a recipe for success against real competition.

Re: 2024-25 Schedule

I am pleased to stand corrected by two of my betters. Now looking forward to being able often to watch our beloved Cats.

Re: 2024-25 Schedule

The home game schedule published by the College discloses that only a very few games will be televised, with ESPN+ streaming none. Possibly, better tv coverage is yet to be finalized, but as shown today this dismal status is very disappointing.

Re: 2024-25 Schedule

By playing by the rules I was referring to the requirements that the Princeton athletes must legitimately perform in the classroom taking actual college level, rigorous courses. Not no show classes as we know are offered at schools like UNC.

Re: 2024-25 Schedule

I have been lobbying for scheduling a home and home with Bucknell for several years now. An Ivy opponent, preferably Princeton, would add luster to our OOC schedule as well. Davidson should play other schools that also play be the rules, by way of having actual student athletes. Institutions of high...

Re: Up next: Point

My ESPN+ telecast was horrible, blurry 90% of the time with clarity of focus mostly between plays. Did everyone experience this dreadful presentation or was this just me?

Re: Up next: Catawba

Still 21-7 at the half. Our defense is incredibly better than last week, putting pressure on the Catawba quarterback just about every pass play.

Re: Up next: Catawba

Tuned in a little late after the opening few plays. Did the announcers opine at all about the injury to Coulter Cleland, so that it is now in the public discourse? End of first quarter and we are up 14-7. Great looking stadium as well.

Indeed, Billy Pierce is proud of Nick, matching his achievement some 53 years later.

Re: McKillop's preseason forecast on Zoom, 8/27

Inasmuch as Mr. Harris is a true ringer and not qualified to complete in this freshman cake race, possibly Blums was the actual victor after all.

Re: McKillop's preseason forecast on Zoom, 8/27

The Davidson College news webpage reports that a track runner, Ryan Harris, Class of ‘26 won the Men’s Division, with no apparent explanation for this projection that he will graduate in two years.

Re: New mascot?

Why indeed does our mascot need a name. After all, a Davidson gentleperson needs no introduction!!

Re: McKillop's preseason forecast on Zoom, 8/27

Today was the annual Cake Race, for which Matt made a prediction as to the winner, a member of the team, whose name now escapes me. Matt also had a secondary prediction in Nick Coval. Would be nice to learn if Coach got it right. In 1967, I don’t know who won, but do know that my roommate, Billy Pie...

Re: McKillop's preseason forecast on Zoom, 8/27

If memory serves, prior public statements noted that Nick Coval would be a red shirt recruit for this year. No mention of that status last night. Indeed, in speaking about our depth at the point guard position, Matt expressly mentioned Nick, so I am confident we will see him on the court from day on...

Re: Steph update

Has there ever been a bigger winner than Steff? The man just twists the dagger in at the most critical moments when victory or defeat hangs in the balance. Very special or should I say unique?
